PROJECT EVALUATION

Creative Strengths

I can play be ear and notice the songs very quickly just by listening to them. So, this helps

me performance skills as I do not have to stress about listening to the songs. For example,

the first day we had been given the songs I had already learnt I am in love with a monster

I added fills to the songs that were not on the original track for the gig for example I am in

love with a monster the fills that I did on the gig. And perhaps vampires are abit strong

but... By arctic monkeys as the fills that I am playing on I am in love with a monster Arnt

the ones on the actual track

Professional Strengths

My attendance to lessons for example I have been in and on time to every lesson this year

for example I have been in every day and on time to every lesson

My determination to learn the songs and get them as perfect as possible for example if I

mess up on a part of the song, I will get us to keep going over and over that one part of

the song until I get it right

Areas for Development:

Creative Areas for Development

Making sure I keep my dynamics level for example sometimes when we are in the hub, I

will overpower everything for example the first time I played in college I overpowered

everything

Making sure I do not get too carried away with the song as I tend to speed up and get

carried away for example in the gig, I sped up in I am in love with a monster ever so

slightly.

Professional Areas for Development

I need to develop my time management better for example I leave everything to last minute

I need to take more time to learn the songs for example I will not listen to the songs

before I play them, I will just go straight into playing them.

What Went Well Creatively

My band all have very varied playing styles and music influences which have blended very

well together

My band all seem to get on and have similar strengths and can take ideas from everyone

and adapt them.

What Went Well Professionally

We were able to use the studio time effectively because we were able to work on our

dynamics better as we had a bigger room so therefore, we could work on our build ups

more effectively

We always used our time effectively when we were at the studio, and we got right into

the songs when we were at the studio. For example we made sure we went through all of

the songs as many times as we needed to because we had the space to do it

What Did Not Work Well Professionally:

My band would frequently become distracted as the drummer and the guitarist would

sometimes break out into their own song before we started

My band would sometimes not have the energy to play the set list, so we did not optimise

our time to the best of
