project proposal
rationale:
In my time on the course the main area I think I have developed as a performer is I have developed a lot more confidence and have gotten faster at learning songs. I have also developed how many different styles I can play since joining the course. For example, one of the styles I have learnt how to play better is Latin as in one of the terms I had to play smooth by Santanna. I have also learnt how to effectively play cross stick as i have also played (by the way) by the red-hot Chilli peppers this song has a fair amount of cross stick in the song in the verses. I have also further developed my skills in improvising in songs since being on the course. For project 1(hiding under the covers) we did various different songs ranging from indie rock to 80s rock with arctic monkeys and Duran Duran. in this project i learnt how to play in a band without keys as this was the first time I had played in a band without a keys player. In project 2 (im still standing) we had to make an orignal song so each band so come up with a chord progression and we could choose whether it was going to be in a major or minor key.
project concept:
For this project my band decided on ‘music from films’ as our theme for this project we chose this theme as there is a large variety of styles and music that would appeal for everyone in the band. as everyone has very different music styles and music tastes we have at least on song in the set that everyone will enjoy this makes it so that no one will get bored during the set. The songs we have are as follows ‘immigrant song’ - led zeppelin. (Thor Ragnarök), ‘Love roller coaster’ - Ohio players. (Final destination 3), ‘all along the watch tower. Jimi Hendrix. (forest Gump). And finally, ‘I want to break free’ queen’ (bohemian rhapsody)
In the next coming weeks for this project, we plan to have our song completely finalized for the week before our gig in the Liverpool philharmonic music room which takes place. on the 13th of May. This may include changing dynamics in various ways on the songs and or some effects on vocals and instruments. My research will be about, stage presence so i will be looking at diffrent drummers and diffrent styles of music to add into my performances and into my overall style and how i play for this performance, this means i will need to look into how drummers play and how they focus their enegy into the performance. The reason i want to do this is that even though i personally think my stage presences is good i want to make it better as i know i can improve in various areas for example when im playing a slow song i will look very bored and look like i dont want to play the song therefore i need to make imporvments on my stage presense eve if i dont like the song.
evaluation:
My evaluation for this project will happen gradually throughout the project so i will make notes of what happen every practice session and then at the end of the week i will write it up in my project diaries and reflect on what went well in the week, what did not go well in the week and what i should do in the coming week and possibly the next few weeks. I will also set myself targets of what to do in theses weeks, I will then implement these targets into my next week of practice. I will also evaluate this project as a whole when it is finished, I will also include how I have developed and how I can develop my skills further. I will evaluate progress by recording rehearsals every day and doing a Weekley evaluation and making notes throughout the week on what i need to improve on and setting myself targets for the coming week or weeks. And then implement them into my next coming weeks of practice

1 17/3/25 Monday – i practiced for my solo peice then we moved evreything into the emirsive room for our solo peices then everyone did a soundcheck then we did our solo peices then packed everything away
Tuseday – we offically started our fmp so sat down as a band to discuss what our songs were going to be and what our research was going to be about. We then looked at our first song to start learning.

Wednesday – we carried on with love rollercoaster and then we started on immigrant song.
Thursday – on thursday we finished of love rollercoaster and immigrant song and then we started on dont stop me now.
