Research:

For my final major project, I have decided to do stage Prescence, which I think will massively benefit my project as it will enhance my performance on stage, this will enable me to get the crowd more involved if my movement on stage reflects the moods of the songs, for example in this project i am playing (love roller coaster) by Ohio players covered by the red hot chili peppers. This is a very upbeat song so my stage presence will mimic the song. And on the other hand, we have an original written by one of our guitarists which is a very slow song so my stage presence will have to mimic the song.

I have decided to look at a few drummers for stage presence they are as follows Chad smith and Dave ghrol as personally i think they have some pretty good stage presence.

So for my primary research i have looked at how Chad smith plays and how he moves around whilst he plays for this i have looked at Chad smiths' video on drumeo where he plays a few songs from each album and i can see clearly his stage presence and what he does when he plays various songs from his bands discography.  an example of where chad smiths show many different things for stage presence is when he plays (by the way) as he is cross sticking, doing a tom grove and then a basic 4/4 beat on the ride edge and the bass and snare drum. So, I'm sort of copping this stage presence in love rollercoaster as he has also covered this song with his band.

I am also looking at dave grohl but back when we was playing in nirvana. Im looking at the way he he had his drum kit which was higher up than most people to really make the kit be heard and how he has a very unique playing style. I havnt heard of anyne else using thre same setup as he does.  so he has a very explosive persona on stage due to the way his kit is set up
